| Capella Apollinis is a baroque ensemble consisting of: baroque flute, baroque violoncello, harpsichord and hammerklavier. Czech – Deutsche ensemble consists of artists playing an authentic instruments and are being seen as an ensemble of outstanding artists, where all of the members are not only participating in chamber and orchestra musical pieces, but frequently work as a soloists. That is the reason why all of the members are also „art managers“ of their ensemble.
Jana Semerádová
Studied at Conservatories in Prague at Jan Riedlbauch class, where she also become a member of the Wind Quintet of the Prague Conservatories, which performed in USA, UK, Germany, Austria and Holland. She got the residency at Conservatories in Birmingham in 1994. She graduated in theory and historical music performance at the Institute of the music science at the Charles University in Prague in co-operation with Collegium Marianum – Týn´s school. Flauto traverso (baroque flute) studied at Wilbert Hazelzet class at King´s Conservatoire in Den Haag. She also takes a part in other baroque music orientated ensembles (Musica Florea, Musica Aeterna) and record for example with Deutsche Gramophone. Apart of the concert and exploring activities she also organises interpretative courses of old music. She is keen on historical dance.
Marek Štryncl
Founded baroque ensemble Musica Florea during his studies at the Teplice Conservatories, violoncello and conducting course and recorded Zelenka´s Missa Sanctissimae Trinitatis for Matouš Studio, which was awarded with the highest prize in prestigious French magazine Diapason. The last success in recording field is CD with mezzo-soprano Magdalena Kozena in J. S. Bach Arieas, recorded by Polygram-Deutsche Gramophone which was awarded by „Gold Harmony 1997“ as the best domestic record of the year 1997. He took a part in some famous festivals: Prague Spring (1998), Belgium festival Europalia 98, Saint Wenceslas Celebrations 2000, Regensburger Tage Alter Musik and festival Concentus Moraviae.
Barbara Maria Willi
Studied harpsichord in Freiburg in Breisgau and in Strasbourg and also classical philology at Albert-Ludwigs-Universität in Freiburg. She passed course of harpsichord/hammerklavier historical performance practice (class of Prof. Nikolaus Harnoncourt) at Mozarteu in Salzburg, where she graduated in 1995. She was awarded in the same year by prize „Prix d´encouragement-special mention“ in harpsichord competition in Brugge. She also attended many courses given by such masters as Jesper Christensen, Jos van Immerseel, Gordon Murray, Elizabeth Chojnacka and Christopher Stembridge. She is recently a docent at the Janáček Academy of Music and Representational Art in Brno. |
